The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has directed all public-sector universities in the country to establish the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) to facilitate innovation, creativity, academic research, and commercialization of final products. The establishment of ORIC is expected to boost Research, Innovation, and Commercialization efforts and thereby contribute to the uplift of various economic and academic indicators.
